Police and Crime Commissioner, Stephen Mold, is holding a consultation on local priorities so as to produce a Police and Crime Plan. Stephen writes:

Dear Colleagues,

I have been in the role of Police and Crime Commissioner since May. During that time I have listened to the Chief Constable, his team and partner agencies and I have learned a lot.

It is a statutory duty that I produce a Police and Crime Plan as soon as possible after my election and by March 2017 at latest. I want the new Police and Crime Plan for Northamptonshire to be for everyone in the county, not just a corporate document for me or the police. Therefore I very much want to know your views before finalising the Plan. Therefore please find attached a consultation document and I would welcome your organisation’s views on this. Ultimately I truly believe that the only way to deliver a safer Northamptonshire is by all partners developing and delivering together.

The four key priorities in the draft plan are:
– Keeping the young safe
– Community partnerships
– Protecting people from harm
– Putting victims’ at the heart of the criminal justice system

The consultation launches on 13th October for 6 weeks closing at 5pm on 24th November. During this time staff from my team and the police will be reaching out to hard to reach communities to increase the representativeness of the consultation.

I would encourage you to complete the survey at www.YourPCC.co.uk. Your views really matter to me.

Yours sincerely

Stephen Mold
Police and Crime Commissioner
