We know that Jesus wants his people in the Nene Valley Methodist Circuit to share his love and
Good News among our neighbours. Our Circuit of seven churches serves the growing area around
Wellingborough and Higham Ferrers.
To continue the progress made by our first Young People and Families Worker in bringing fresh
ideas and energy for this challenge, the Nene Valley Circuit is looking for our next
Worker with Young People and Families
This specialist Young People and Families Worker will have the time, passion and professionalism:
– To provide strategic direction to our Circuit churches enabling them to take Christ into the
lives of the young people and families in this area with striking ideas and enthusiasm.
– To develop outreach mission and support to these families, on or off our premises. Seeking
the ‘missing generation’.
– To strengthen links for our young people within the Circuit, and to other local and national
Christian activities.
– To offer leadership, encouragement and support to existing and new volunteers.
The post is full time and offers a salary up to £24000 depending on experience. However, for the
right candidate the Circuit is flexible and would consider modifications to accommodate a job share.
The start date will be early January 2020.
An enhanced DBS is required. There is clearly a genuine occupational requirement that the worker
is an active committed Christian worshipping in a church within Churches Together in Britain and
Ireland, preferably acquainted with our Methodist ways!
Does this sound like a match for your skills and your calling?
