The Woolf Institute in Cambridge is looking for a Senior Education Officer: Public Education. They need someone who will bring enthusiasm, commitment, a strong work ethic, and public education and/or policy experience. For the candidate, there is an exciting opportunity to forge a key role in a supportive environment during the Woolf Institute’s transition into its next phase of growth and development as it takes possession of a new purpose-built facility in the heart of Cambridge (from September 2017).
Public Education/policy at the Institute consists of developing and marketing policy-related projects, such as the recent Commission on Religion and Belief in British Public Life and drawing on current research projects within the Institute; designing, marketing, delivering, and evaluating public education and training courses; organizing seminars and conferences in Cambridge and elsewhere related to the practical, communal and faith aspects of interfaith relations. Experience of the job will entail particular focus on Muslim/non-Muslim relations and you will need to be able to commute easily to the Cambridge area and travel within the UK.
