One of Thrapston Baptist Church’s leaders, Neil Mathieson, will be taking the stage for the church’s November Sunday@6 event on 27-Nov-2016.
Starting with his earliest musical endeavours, Neil will be tracing his “musical journey” from jug band to Christian folk-rock and all in between.
He says “There’s going to be a selection of songs – some reflecting my faith experiences, and some just for fun. I know some people might think ‘What?? Jug band music in church??’ but it’s all part of the fun, and the first music I played in public. Between the songs I’ll try and explain a bit about how they all fit together”
Neil, who helps lead worship music at the Baptist Church, is also a member of the newly formed “baby-boomer” covers band ReStrung.
ReStrung recently played at the Oundle Fringe Music Festival and they will be playing a few songs on the night.
The event starts at 6:00pm, admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
