We had a great turn out for the ROC Conversation Raunds / Rushden on Wednesday 30th January 2019, with around 80 people gathering at Saxon Hall. There were representatives from churches, schools, councils, police, charities, businesses and local residents.
It was sobering listening to about some of the issues that affect our local communities, such as ‘county lines’, drugs, gangs, violence, youth engagement, family support and elderly isolation. Download a copy of the report.
25% of attendees have volunteered to join an action group to try to tackling the issues reported. We are inviting more members of the local community to get involved. If you would like to be part of the action group then you are welcome to come to the first meeting on Friday 15th March 7pm at Rushden Salvation Army, Church Street Rushden.
We are really excited about the prospect of local people working together to strengthen their local community.
