Local community leaders, leaders of local charities, representatives of local councils, police, schools and community activists are invited to meet together for networking and resourcing at the East Northants Community Leaders Lunch. At this event we will be discussing the needs of the 21st Century Family and how best to support them.
It is a great pleasure to have Rev Les Isaac as our guest speaker. Rev Les is CEO of a Christian charity called Ascension Trust which he formed in 1993. His mission is to train and develop individuals to serve the local community, city, nation and nations of the world. His desire is to see Christians working more effectively in their society. Such is his determination and convictions for Christians to get involved and impact their communities and society at large that he co-launched an innovative project called the ‘Street Pastors Initiative’ which provides a late night outreach service in high crime areas to tackle the issue of guns, knives and violent crimes on the streets of Britain. Les has been instrumental in the creation of School and college pastors, volunteers who commit themselves to the service of young people in their community, offering a reassuring and friendly presence to students who may not feel able to speak openly to teachers or parents. Working in partnership with schools, colleges and other local agencies, they enhance the safety and emotional and social well-being of students through caring, listening and helping.
Lunch is provided for the modest sum of £5 per person. You are welcome to bring guests or send a representative in your place.
