The next East Northants Community Leaders’ Lunch will be taking place on Wednesday 21st November 2018: 11.30am for 12 noon, at the Frontier Centre, off Addington Road, Irthlingborough, NN9 5UF. The meeting room is on the first floor of the main reception building.
The lunch will focus on the roles played by faith-based social action projects. In particular:
Ross Hendry, CEO of Spurgeons, will talk about the work of Spurgeons, focusing particularly on what it means in practice to continue to be explicit about being a Christian organisation.
Rev Mark Lees (Rushden Full Gospel Church) will be talking on the research that he is doing on different models of Christian involvement within social action projects;
Julia Smith (East Northants Council) will speak on her experience of working with faith-based groups, using a recent local project as a case study.
As ever, those present will have an opportunity to talk briefly about any new activities/projects that they are developing, and a buffet lunch will be provided alongside welcome drinks and refreshments. There will also be lots of time for catching up with others and networking
