You are invited to the next…East Northants Community Leaders’ Lunch’

The next East Northants Community Leaders’ Lunch will be taking place on Wednesday 19th February 2020: 11.30am for 12 noon, at the Frontier Centre, off Addington Road, Irthlingborough, NN9 5UF. The meeting room (‘The Summit’) is on the 1st floor of the main reception building.

The lunch will take place just after:

  • A short talk by Sue Griffiths (Abington Avenue United Reformed Church, Northampton and ex-University of Northampton), and on the work of the county-wide ROC (Redeeming Our Committees) mental health group, focusing on the findings of a recent survey of church leaders on mental health training and support needs
  • An update on the practical opportunities (and perhaps challenges) provided for faith-based and other community groups in the county through social prescribing; and
  • Updates from East Northants Community Services and on the creation of wellbeing cafes in the county, following talks on these subjects during lunches in 2019.

As ever, those present will have an opportunity to talk briefly about any new activities/projects that they are developing, and a buffet lunch will be provided alongside welcome drinks and refreshments. There will also be lots of time for catching up with others and networking.

What does it cost? Although there is no cost of this event, we suggest a donation of £5 on the day to cover food and other costs associated with the setting up of the lunch.

Who is this event for? Anyone who is interested, whether or not an official leader of anything

But it’s in half term! Sorry, we recognise that the timing isn’t ideal for everyone – but this hopefully means that some new people will be able to attend, and we hope to circulate information to those unable to be present.
